Malala Yousafzai

I dedicate this painting to Malala Yousafzai. This portrait is a celebration of Malala's dedication to the fight for girls' education. I painted Malala's portrait on a 120cm x 120cm stretched canvas using mixed media.

Malala has made an immense impact by giving educational opportunities to females and using her voice and platform to impact this world positively. In 2013, Malala and her father Co-Founded the Malala Fund, which empowers girls to demand change and raises awareness about the economic and social impact of getting an education. In 2014, Malala became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate. In 2017, Malala was designated as a United Nations Messenger of Peace to help raise awareness of the importance of girl's education. She has adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and S.D.G. Goal 5: Gender Equality.
