Angelina Jolie

120 cm x 120 cm / 48 inches x 48 inches, mixed media on stretched canvas, 2019.

I genuinely admire actress and activist Angelia Jolie, who has travelled the world to speak up for those who do not have a voice. I painted Jolie's portrait on a 120cm x 120cm stretched canvas using mixed media.

In 2012, Jolie was appointed Special Envoy after dedicating years of service to UNHCR and the refugee cause. Jolie is a humanitarian who focuses on significant crises resulting in mass population displacements, pledging advocacy and embodying UNHCR and the High Commissioner at the diplomatic level. Her commitment and actions have contributed to the crucial process of discovering solutions for citizens forced to flee their homes. She uses her voice to combat injustice, promote equality for women, and advocate on displacement matters. Jolie is an advocator for U.N. Sustainable Development Goal 1: No Poverty.

Jolie launched the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative, which is being supported by 156 countries. She founded the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, dedicated to improving rural poverty, safeguarding the environment and preserving wildlife in Cambodia. One of the most heartwarming things that Jolie and Brad Pitt have done is adopt three children: Madox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia, and Pax from Vietnam in hopes of giving them a better chance at life.
